Personal bookplate for John Davis Barnett. Barnett (1848-1926) was a railroad engineer and renowned Canadian book collector. A great advocate for libraries and education, he wrote extensively on library issues of the day, donated over 40,000 volumes to the University of Western Ontario, and was influential in the creation of Canada's national library.
