Prior to becoming the Seattle Art Museum, two predecessor organizations existed: the Seattle Fine Arts Society (1905-1917) and then, after merging with the Washington Arts Association (1906-1917), the Art Institute of Seattle (1917-1932).&lt;/p&gt;</text>
