Description
Written in both French and English, this book includes a tea bag containing slivers of Articles 1-3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Reflecting the title, images of a crane in a strip mined landscape appear around a pyramid also containing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The pyramid, taken as an ancient monument for the foundation of society, is being removed. Is the tea bag is a way to let those rights seep back into our lives, or are the slivers a byproduct of destruction?
Inscription: Signed by artist on front cover flap in pencil and numbered.
Colophon reads: ...Universal Declaration of Human Rights printed with edible coloring, on edible paper and pulped. Tea, natural flavouring. Store in a dark and dry place.
